The primary purpose of the Shenandoah Mennonite Church is:
- To establish and strengthen the Christian life of each member of the congregation by providing opportunities for worship, instruction, and fellowship, which will overflow in service and evangelism.
- To bring the gospel to the unsaved and lead them to faith in and repentance to Jesus Christ and to membership in the Church.
- To care for the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. (James 1:27)
